Daniel is currently a sophomore at Albemarle High School. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout in May of 2008 and is an active member of Troop 117.

At the age of 15, Daniel is a Junior Racer who prefers to compete in the Sport Adult category owing to increased competition and his desire to step his racing knowledge and skills to the next level.

He completed his first century ride in 05' an has consistently participated in 4 to 5 full century rides each year since then. He began competitively racing in the spring of 07'.He started with racing road and during the cross' season of 07' did his first cross race, placing 7th in the C-men category (on a borrowed a cross' bike from a teammate). Last January he invested in a new mountain bike (Trek Top Fuel) and has been racing competitively throughout the '08 season. Although he has raced mainly road this past year he is focusing more on racing mountain and cross in the coming year. Daniel shows up regularly at many area training and riding events, and tends to blow the doors off of everyone at the crit style events that are popular in the Charlottesville area in the summers. The entire Bike Factory Race Team is excited to have Daniel and his family on board for the 2009 season and we know he will be a blast to drag to some of the bigger races in the region as we travel. Previously Daniel was a sponsored Junior Rider with the Charlottesville Racing Club.
